Zero-G Ethera Gold Atlantis | An HONEST Review
Ethera Gold Atlantis is the latest addition to the acclaimed Ethera Series, released by Zero-G. This new installment features a set of six multi-sampled vocal instruments, focusing on dreamy, cinematic female vocal samples.
When it comes to vocal sample libraries, creating a playable, truly authentic virtual instrument is notoriously difficult. There are many vocal libraries that have a notably “artificial” sonic quality, particularly when it comes to note transitions. With this in mind, we were extremely excited to try out this new installment of the Ethera vocal series.
So, does this highly acclaimed vocal library have what it takes to deliver authentic, cinematic vocal melodies?
The six instruments included in Ethera Gold Atlantis are Romantic True Legato, True Legato, Sustain, Phonemes Builder, Vocal Phrases and Reverse Vocal Phrases. Each instrument has a gorgeous GUI with a clear, easy-to-navigate interface.
To put it simply, the sound quality of the vocal samples is absolutely sublime. Each legato sample and vocal phrase is dripping with emotion and expressiveness, making it easier than ever to create beautiful, atmospheric female vocals.
One factor that takes Ethera Gold Atlantis to another level is the authenticity of the true legato sample library, as each transition has been individually recorded to create the most realistic transitions possible. This meticulous attention to detail is immediately clear when creating legato melodies. The result is an evocative, natural vocal instrument with a ethereal, Celtic-style character of its own.
The vocal library is also extremely versatile, and could easily be applied to a range of genres and production styles. Perhaps the most obvious use would be for cinematic projects such as fantasy soundtracks or video game audio. The vocals would also sound phenomenal in ambient and downtempo genres, and even progressive, melody-based electronic genres (especially the stunning Reverse Vocal Phrases instrument).
Ethera Gold Atlantis also has a dedicated FX rack including a modulator, compression, EQ, distortion, reverb, delay, an amplifier and cabinet controls.
This stunning vocal library is a must-have for ambient or cinematic producers looking to breathe life into their projects. From dreamy, hypnotic sustains to dark, wistful vocals drenched in reverb, this new addition to the Ethera series can do it all.
This is, without a shadow of a doubt, one of the most inspiring, authentic vocal libraries out there.
